The Halstead Heritage Museum is now open and ready to welcome visitors. Current displays include transport through the ages, the history of Courtaulds, a look at the famous Victorian stove manufacturers Portway and various artefacts from Halstead and surrounding villages.

 

In addition to the various displays we will also be selling a selection of local History related books (you can also see these in the bookshop pages of this website).  

 

To complement the Museum displays we will create some photo galleries on the website which will include photographs from our collection together with some pictures of the Museum displays. Several example photo galleries are available now, visit again soon to see our updated collections.

 

All photo galleries use Flash™ technology which may require you to install additional software on your Computer.
